Media Scanning...

Hey everyone,
My first time posting and I have a problem that I hope you can help me with.
A little while ago I downloaded, installed and ran the Roxio Media Manager for my Blackberry 8310 (my first mistake I think).
During the initial connection between the computer and device there was a sync performed.
When I went on to my curve - into the Media - there was a white space at the bottom that says "Scanning". My problem is that it won't go away. It doesn't seem to actually be scanning anything and it doesn't seem to affect the use of the Media area or any other device function, but the white space is there constantly.
Does anyone know if I did something wrong - besides installing and using Roxio Media Manage?
Is there any way to remove the "scanning" thing?
